Scaleable Trunking Systems
NIC Technologies in partnership with Fylde Micro Ltd offer MPT 1327 Trunking systems that are designed with expandable capabilities. From a single site, single channel all the way up to 800 plus sites, all from one product. Fylde systems allow network operators to expand features and functionality by simply adding components to their network, for example, adding an extra Channel Card & Repeater will allow for up to 70 to 100 extra radios or more on the network (depending on the the required grade of service).
Basic Single Site Example

Basic 3 channel system
Comprising of 3 Channel Controllers, Repeaters & Aerial combining. Systems
functionality allows for private calls to and from radio units without any
control over user features.

Single Site Expansions (Continued)

Adding a System Control Interface & SYSCON
By adding a System Control Interface (SCI) and SYSCON utility you can now control
network access, Billing reports & Network analysis as well as Remote
monitors such as Batteries low or door open. The SCI also acts as the gateway
for connection to other sites and regions.

Adding extra channels & repeaters - Up
to a maximum of 24 channels per site
Each channel/Repeater will allow for up to 70 to 100 extra radios
or more on the network (depending on the the required grade of service).

Adding a PCM Switch
allows the site to be connected to a PSTN or PABX telephone circuit. Allowing
telephone calls to and from mobiles & Portables. See

Single Site Expansion (Continued)

Adding a Single Site Interconnect & PCM
Switch
Single Site Interconnect (SSIU) and 2U PCM switch combination making a cost-effective
solution for telephone connection on single site systems. The (SSIU) Allows
the system to handle call divert and also provides a gateway for line connected
Message handling dispatcher (MHD) Terminals.

Multi-Site Expansion

Regionaly Connected Sites
The Regional Control Processor (RCP) in conjunction with a PCM switch is used
to connect together up to 10 sites (up to 240 channels) to form a regional
coverage network. The RCP performs all the Inter-site call set-up management
tasks, including PSTN, PABX's and hardwired dispatchers (MHD). SYSCON provides
seamless control of the system from one terminal.

Supported site link options
Traditional 2/4 Wire - 64Kbit - Microwave links - Digital UHF radio links -
T1/E1 - TCP/IP
Nation-Wide System Example

Sites that are regionally connected & Regions
that are connected via a central node
Adding an Inter-Regional Processor (IRP) allows systems of greater
than 10 sites to be constructed. With expansion up to 800 plus sites to form
a nation-wide system. See more
on IRP
Supported regional link options
Traditional 2/4 Wire - 64Kbit - Microwave links - Digital UHF radio links -
T1/E1 - TCP/IP
Mapping - GPS Tracking

Adding a Fylde mapping terminal
Vehicles can easily be monitored in real-time, using data transmitted
from compliant radio units. Simply follow the vehicle's movements or check
the status of ignition position etc: All data is automatically recorded, enabling
full analysis of events at a later date. See
more on the Mapping
Mobile Data / Job Dispatch

Currently in development - Fylde Job tracker sends & receives data over the Trunked radio network using a mobile radio unit. Information such as contacts, job addresses and required actions are displayed. The user can feed information back to the server through the network eg: job finished and even signature capture.
